Check it yourself.
Most water meters in the Houston area are in the front of the property, in a black box.

Lift the lid
Go lift the lid on your water meter box.

Is it moving?
Nothing’s running in the house and the water meter is moving? Water is going somewhere.

Two-hour test
Can’t tell? Snap a photo of the numbers. Use no water for two hours. Numbers changed? You likely have a leak.
We come find it, fix it.
At your house, it costs you nothing to have us come out. You hear the price before any work starts.
Leaking now? Shut it off.
Shut off the water main on the property. That’s the first thing you should do.
If you can’t get to the shutoff valve, look for the black plastic box on the sidewalk or in the grass. That’s your water meter. If you’re lucky, you’ll have a shutoff valve. With a pair of channel locks or a crescent wrench, do about a quarter turn to the off position.
If you’re unlucky, you’re gonna have to get a water meter key to shut it off from behind the meter.
“Jaffar and his team helped me with leak detection and fixed the root cause! Highly recommended for your plumbing request”
Questions I get asked.
Is the visit free?
At your house, yes. It costs you nothing to have us come out. We see what’s wrong, then we tell you what the fix is gonna cost. Don’t like the price? We pack up and you owe us nothing.
Do you find leaks under the slab?
Yes. We find and fix leaks under the slab.
My house has old galvanized pipe. Should I worry?
If it’s galvanized iron and the house was built in the late sixties or early seventies, definitely consider doing a repipe. It only takes one joint to bust, and you’ll have a massive bill from the plumbing side, the remediation side and the electrician side. Catch it before it’s too late.
