The price comes first
You hear the price before any work starts. I’m not the cheapest plumber in Houston. I’m not the highest either. I’m smack in the middle.

Old galvanized pipe?
If it’s galvanized iron and the house was built in the late sixties or early seventies, definitely consider doing a repipe. It only takes one joint to bust, and you’ll have a massive bill from the plumbing side, the remediation side and the electrician side. Catch it before it’s too late.
We do whole-house repipes.
“They did a fantastic job when we found a wasp nest in our water heater vent. They acted quickly and safely, removing the nest and fixing the vent with no damage. The team was so nice, and their professionalism and attention to detail were impressive. I highly recommend them for any plumbing needed—they really do it all!”
I own H&S Plumbing.
Jaffar, owner
For ten years, most of my jobs came from word of mouth. Houses, restaurants, barber shops all over Houston. Somebody they trust told them call H&S.
About H&S
Questions I get asked.
Water’s leaking. What do I do first?
Shut off the water main on the property. If you can’t get to the shutoff valve, look for a black plastic box on the sidewalk or in the grass. That’s your water meter. Pop off the lid, and with a pair of channel locks or a crescent wrench, do about a quarter turn to the off position.
Is the look really free?
At your house, yes. It costs you nothing to have us come out. We see what’s wrong, then we tell you what the fix is gonna cost. Don’t like the price? We pack up and you owe us nothing.
My kitchen drain keeps clogging. Why?
A lot of people think the garbage disposal can process anything. But you have an inch-and-a-half pipe going into the two-inch stack in the wall, and that can easily clog up with rice or cooking oil. I had a client put stuffed grape leaves down the drain, and they had a grapevine start growing out of the sewer line. Throw it in the trash can, then do your dishes.
I smell gas. What do I do?
If you smell gas and it’s strong, shut off the gas main and get a plumber there. Better safe than sorry.
If the smell is strong, get everyone out and call 911 or the gas company from outside.
